「雙語教學」是一門專業。因雙語教學獲獎不僅是對我過去努力之肯定,更是對未來工作之激勵。立基於專業訓練及教學經驗,個人持續以全英語教授大學部及碩士班課程,並藉創新教學及多元的資源提升學生之專業知識與能力。
感謝中原大學的全人教育理念及服務學習中心的協助,讓我能在課室教學後帶領學生走出校園,不僅能更有效地檢視學生在雙語理論與實務之學習成果,也能協助學生提升教學能力與具備正確心態來克服教學現場之挑戰。更感謝學生們的努力與教師們的支持,讓雙語教學工作順利完成。未來,我將持續藉由服務學習讓大學生及碩士生在專業知能成長之時,也能協助弱勢家庭學生提升英語能力與學習動機,達到以專業服務人群及善盡社會責任之目標。
Receiving the award for my work in bilingual education is not only a recognition of my past efforts but also an encouragement for my future work. With my educational background in research fields and teaching experiences, I continue to teach undergraduate and graduate courses using English as a medium of instruction (EMI) and utilizing innovative teaching methods and approaches as well as diverse resources to enhance students’ learning in content knowledge and skills.
I thank the school and the service learning center for their focus on holistic education and the support and assistance they have provided. Integrating service learning into the teaching has assisted me in helping my students better understand research and teaching practices in bilingualism and in developing their teaching skills and attitudes to overcome challenges and difficulties encountered. I also thank the undergraduates, graduate students, and the teachers who have worked with me on the projects. In the future, I will continue to foster professional growth in my students. They can then better assist elementary school students from disadvantaged families in improving their English skills and learning motivation and serve the community to fulfill social responsibilities.
